Dark Spots

According to dermatologists, our skin doesn't become "mature"  until we start noticing  fine lines, brown spots and for some enlarged pores. Mature skin manifests from genetic predispositions, hormonal shifts, and external factors, all leading  to reduced cell turnover, dry and thinning skin, more sensitivity and even a  'leathery' feel/texture from excessive sun damage. Dark spots that appear on our skin (young or old) usually take a long time to come to the surface so getting rid of them can take awhile as well.  Contacting your dermotologist to inquire about different services they offer for completely get rid of dark/age spots is your best bet. However, integrating a solid at-home skincare routine can aid any professional treatment that you might opt for in order to ensure those dark/age spots stay at bay! 

 

There are several products that we recommend that can help lighten the dark/age spots and help your skin to not develop more.

#1- It's crucial to integrate regular exfoliation into your skincare regime utilizing alpha-hydroxy products

#2-Incorporating a Retinol Serum into your nighttime routine

#3- Supplementing your daytime routine with a Vitamin C product

#4- ALWAYS use at least an SPF 30 Sunscreen- everyday
